Question about overclocking
May 8, 2010, 1:59 AM
So after I change the voltage to my processor do i want to run a video game or a stress test to make the overclock happen or does changing the voltage its self implement the overclock?

Well, once you set the overclock settings, (you do not necessarily need to up the voltage, changing voltage does not overclock the CPU) then you would need to run Prime 95 for stress testing.

You are a little confused. Increasing the voltage will not increase CPU speed.
Increasing the voltage (up to a point) may increase CPU stability after you increase the CPU speed by increasing the FSB frequency.
