Hello everyone!~
After 9 months I decided to built up my computer again.
The second I turned it on the soundcard was apparantly zapped.
It smelled strange and the computer would not turn on again. So I removed the soundcard and everything is working fine now.
My question is: How can I find out if the PCI slot of the motherboard has been zapped as well?
In the Device Manager I got a yellow questionmark next to a "Other Devices, PCI Device".
Is this a fried PCI slot? I am running Windows XP by the way.
Best thing to do might be to just insert another pci device in that slot (if you have one). I don't think that you would be able to tell from device manager.
