Hi folks,

I'm getting ready to put together my first build and I'm getting to the scary part (mounting the motherboard).

I'm using a GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD4P LGA 1366 motherboard. It looks like all of the holes for mounting it to the case are metalized, but I don't understand enough about this to know.... do I need to use washers between the board and the screws?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks for your time,

Tim

No, the system is designed so you make ground when mounting the board. Just be sure you don't make ground the wrong places.

As a general rule newer boards don't require washers. You should be fine wit the hard ware that came with your case to mount the motherboard. Just make sure to line up the holes on the board and the case and place a stand-off at each one.
