Hexacore?

I want to go for a hexacore, but I dont know if my DD2 AM3 Gygabyte motherboard supports it. It was 40£.

If it is am3 compatable, it will work, but probably only after you do a motherboard bios update. Gigabyte has a pretty solid windows bios updater, has always worked flawlessly for me. You may need to update the bios before you install the hexacore, or it may work in a limited fashion until you can update the bios.
