Is AHCI & AHCI/raid same mode or differant

trim support to work

On a Windows 7 based system, yes. TRIM is part of/works for Windows 7 (in simple laymens terms).

However, TRIM will not work in any RAID array. It will be there, but won't be optimizing the SSD in any RAID array.

There are lots of other threads about TRIM & RAID.

But yes, set BIOS to ACHI for SSD's.
