Any chance of showing us screen shots ?
Would be interested to see what stock voltage and max voltage available is ?
If your doing that with that voltage it seems impressive.
The 5 series , some people pump up to 1.3 volts in to those things, not always with good results.
I also tried using ASUS SmartDoctor to increase the GPU voltage. I reached 890 MHz at 1.15V, 940 at 1.20V, 970 at 1.25V, 965 at 1.30V and 970 at 1.35V which is the maximum in SmartDoctor. Please note that the voltages are listed as they are displayed in SmartDoctor - not actual measurements.
AFAIK the voltage is maxxed @ 1.087 - or should i say 'limited to' in the bios?
Ive seen posts of people pushin 900core 2100mem on water cooling.
To be honest i found that raising the core didnt really do that much after 800MHz . Raising the mem 50mhz (would actually be 100MHz as its GDDR5)= roughly 1% increase in FPS. The performance was still rising steadily but stability issues stopped me past 2GHz.
Aparently at these clocks ive got im on par with GTX480 looking at some reviews with similar clocks (actually mine are bit higher than most reviews)
I think stock voltage is like 0.912 or something btw.
The only thing that bothers me is that im still getting sub 30fps at points in Crysis:Warhead and Metro
Ive read reviews and seen on forums with many users hitting well above what i can seem to achieve.
All i can get is:
Anything above this is artifact city.
Anyone got issues??
I have done much research about higher quality bin GPU chips being used by the market leading manufacturers like EVGA and other top card makers, but I have read that PNY the low end manufacturers use low quality bin chips. How else do you explain the cheaper prices?
Those are the settings I have (which still could prove useful). The spiking in the GPU usage is from me going into WoW and running around for a few minutes, then alt tabbing out. I know WoW is more CPU driven but GPU does play a huge factor in Cataclysm.
Seems to be running OK. Haven't seen high temperatures yet and I'm using stock cooling. The only thing, after doing Mafia II benchmarks for about 30 minutes, Kombuster doesn't run at 400+ like it was doing, instead runs at ~100 and Furmark was running each test at 10 FPS whereas beforehand it was 20 FPS and immediately after I OC'd it, it was at like ~25 FPS.
Dunno if I need a reboot or not but nothing shady has gone on from what I can tell and the card is performing as it should both stock and my OC settings.
Edit: I would rather deal with the noise with stock cooling to be safe. I use Razer Megalodons anyways so I don't even hear it. I use a 550W PSU and the manufacturer of the card is Palit. Hope all this helps.
