I am new to posting on this forum but not new as a reader of it. I am just curious of why my Asus P6T Deluxe V2 can not run all completely stock voltages. I have my "Ai Tweaker" section set under "XMP" because of my Corsair Dominator 1866 ram set. I also disabled Speedstep and am not running Epu-6 or Turbo v.
(When I set all the of the "standard/stock" voltages my PC would not boot up and I would have to hard shut down the PC and turn it back on then change the settings. ~Stock as in: CPU vcore 1.2v, Qpi Link 1.80v, Qpi/Dram core 1.2v and such)
When set to XMP, the QPI/DRAM core voltate was 1.600, and the Bus Voltage was 1.66 (1.65).
My Cpu Vcore is autoed around 1.05 (@ this vcore I failed worker#7 in prime95 after 20mins so i stopped).... I tried to set it to 1.2v as seen as default as far as I have read.
My real issue is - I can't pass prime95 w/ 8 threads with out errors (@ vcore 1.2v) ... after 50mins 2 workers stopped, and the rest ran for 3hours still with no errors/warnings.. but I stopped it anyways.
My cpu temp was around 35c idle and 55-56c with prime. However my core temps are around 40-43c idle then around 60-68c prime. I swapped out my CM V8 fan with a Silverstone 103cfm fan and its blowing at max lol.
I appreciate any advice or help at all, and will try to get more information on my bios/setup. Please let me know if you need anything specific. I work two jobs so I rarely have much time to tweak/research but I try my best.
