i am selling a faulty acer 5315 laptop and was wondering how do u remove the hard drive for security purposes

Number 5 on Page 20 of the user guide shows the location of the HDD.

Basically, you unscrew that coverplate and there will be the drive underneath. I couldn't find any specific pictures for you. The drive may be in a type of chassis that connects it to the laptop, if this is the case you need to remove the drive from this casing and put the casing back into the laptop, if anyone ever intends to use the laptop again.
