hello,

i have a new intel 775 fan that came with my q6600 G0 i installed a year ago.
i'm building a new set that won't require oc based on e8400 or even e7400.
can i buy the new cpu iwthout a fan to save a few bucks and use the fan i got with the q6600 ?
is it compatible ?

Yes.

Just clean it off properly. Apply new paste and you're set.

Completely compatible. You need to buy an OEM processor for CPU alone.
