There is one thing you can do that will only cost a few bucks more, and will make the system far more upgradeable:

Get this crossfire board. Then you can add a second 4850 in the future. (You already have a PSU that will support it.)

Is that the only way the system will be more upgradable? If so it seems better to buy a 1GB video card than use two 512MB; seems a lot less complicated and probably cheaper.

Is the mobo the biggest deciding factor of how well you can overclock your PC or is it the CPU? Does it make the system a lot less reliable? (is it even necessary?)

Getting a 1GB card is not the same as crossfiring a second card.

You bought a nice PSU, but it's a bit overkill for the build as is. If you had bought a crossfire board, it would have made more sense. You'll be able to overclock just fine on either board.

Thanks for the info Proximon; if I decide to switch the boards, how does Newegg's return policy work? Do I cover shipping charges and they just refund the money once they receive the product?
