Greetings.
I am the lucky owner of a Asus Striker Extreme MB with 2.4 duo Core P4, 4 gig of Corsair 800mhz matched ram, 2x GF 8800 GTS 640MB DD3 dual and 2 x 32gig Raptors 10000rmp HDs. It is installed with XP Pro on “Raid 0” (Striped).
The problem is when I run with dual sli, it locks up in Cod4 and 3dMark2005 but all other aspects of the pc work fine. But when I take out the 2nd video card… it works fine. Good 3dmarks and hours of Cod4 bliss. SLI is enabled in Nvidia Control Panel and the have identical firmware. I also have the latest nforce drivers. Is there some Sli wizard I cant find?
Hope you can help me out. HellSpawn

It seems I have a similar problem: I also have a Striker Extreme MB with two GForce 8800 NVidia cards running SLI. Almost daily I get an "unexpected shutdown". It's not repeatable and so for me too it is really unexpected.
There's no report in the event log as to why this might happen. I also suspected the PSU, but it's a high quality 1000W Zalman and I don't think this can be the problem.
Is there anything known about issues between the Striker and GForce 8800 cards?
Thanks.

Fredco.

If it is a compatability issue there might be a BIOS update to cure it.
