So... I recently built a new computer... but I can't get my RAM to function in dual channel.

I have two 2GB modules, and the system is stable when I'm running with 1 of them, but with both, I can play maybe 15-20 min of a game before I get a blue-screen.

Based on this info, I replaced both modules (assuming they were incompatible with each other), but even with my new RAM, I still have the same problem!

So, replacing the RAM is not a solution.
What are my other options for RAM that won't run stable in dual channel?
Change the voltage settings? (Nothing is overclocked - I would assume everything should run stable with default settings)
Change some hardware? Mobo? Proc? I'd rather not do this...
Flash the BIOS?

It took me forever to narrow down the problem to the RAM (the blue-screen was giving me a video driver error, as if it were just trying to confuse me), and at least I can run stable with 1 module, but still... this sucks.

Specs:
Intel Core 2 Duo E7400
GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775
G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500)
EVGA 512-P3-N884-AR GeForce 9800 GTX+

Are you running the RAM at 800 MHz or at 1066 MHz (which is overclocked)? If at 1066 MHz, what voltage and timings?

I'm running 1066 @ 1.8V

Is your memory http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 820231166? They require 2.0V-2.1V to run at that speed. Bump up the voltage to what it should be and they should work fine. Also make sure that the timings are set to 5-5-5-15, not 4-4-4-12.

Alright, I have it running pretty stable so far, at 2.0V.

Guess it's my fault for trusting the default/auto settings in BIOS.

The JEDEC default is 1.8V at 800 MHz. 1066 MHz is overclocked and it requires manual settings.
