Overclock amd 1090t

i want to buy amd 1090t and asus crosshair fomula iv.i want to overclock my cpu up to 4.0ghz .will i need a large cooler for this or i can use normal cooler?

Use a large cooler, something like the Cooler Master Hyper 212 plus. If you use your stock cooler, there's a good chance you'll have stability problems @4 Ghz cause by heat buildup.

For that high you will need more extreme cooling. Do more research before you decide on anything, and by research, not just asking questions on message boards. Google reviews, most tech sites do an OC review on new chips. Search these forums for help on understanding how different types of cooling effect your ability to OC.

Just plain old learn more, before you lean on those of us who have actually gone this route to hold your hand.
