i keep having bsod's because of a realtek ethernet driver. i cant seem to figure out what the problem is. it never happens when im on just when im at work and my wife is using the comp. if it happens again shes suppose to save the minidump so i can post it. does this happen to anyone else or just me? any help is appreciated.
Are you sure it's the ethernet driver? Just to make sure the basic system hardware is OK, first do the following:
1) Download the free memtest86+ bootable CD image file and burn a CD from it. Boot from that and let it run overnight. Make sure there are no errors at all.
2) Download Orthos or similar Prime95-based stress-testing program and run it in "blend" mode for at least an hour or two (watch your CPU and system temps during this!) and make sure there are no errors.
Also, it wouldn't hurt to download and install the latest Realtek driver for your ethernet chipset.
