How to get rid of norton anti virus / permission denied

norton antivirus was pre loaded on my windows xp and I want it gone but can't get access and i don't understand "cacls". Can I dump it from dos prompt ?

Revo Uninstaller is good, if you answer "No" to the prompt to reboot, and allow Revo to find all traces of Norton on your computer. Then, after checking all the boxes and deleting, you can reboot. Also, Norton has a removal tool for your particular system, which is supposed to completely clean your computer of Norton. I used that after Revo, just in case. See:
