Internal cd & dvd drive not recognized

my computer is having trouble picking up my internal cd/dvd drive...how do I reinstall the drive?

What interface does it use, IDE or SATA? If it is IDE, you might have the jumper set wrong. You also might not have it configured in your bios properly.
