I have an Epox 8k3+ motherboard with an AGP slot that supports AGP 2x as well as 4x. BIOS has settings for 1x and 2x. What setting is OK for an ATI radeon 9000 (4x) and can I just put the card in the slot and watch what happens??

I have installed the latest AGP driver from EPOX but not installd any of the BIOS updates ( which seems to deal with the bult in raid controller).

Just put it in and it will work. If it wasn't compatible, you shouldn't be able to insert it in the AGP slot.
