a few days ago my hard drive crashed and i had to reinstall everything. problem is, now whenever i want to watch a movie on my plasma tv, via the hdmi cable and from my pc, the picture is grainy and flickering. i never had this problem prior to the hard drive crashing, so i think it is a software error and not a hardware problem.

does anyone know what the problem could be?

i've tried reinstalling gpu drivers, but to no avail. my graphics crad is a 4870.

Your OS hard drive crashed and you re-used it?

Windows got FUBAR and you just reinstalled the OS?

my harddrive crashed, got a new and installed everything from scratch.
