So I have this rig in mind. I was going to purchase the i7 920 with a gtx 295 along with a 24 inch monitor but would like some second opinions before I take the plunge.

 

I really hate the idea of building everything up again in a year or so so I chose the i7 processor because that would definitely last me like 2 years+.

 

THe gtx 295 is just me thinking "hey i got the best processor, why not the best vid card to go with it?"

 


Would this setup be worth it purely for gaming?

 

I also had the idea of going q9550 with gtx 285 on a 22 inch screen.

 


WHich is the better bet?
