I've got a 450 watt PSU (between generic and brand PSU), with 18 A rating on the 12v line.
My system is:
Asus M3A 770 chipset
Amd Athlon X2 5200+ (65w TDP)
Geforce 8600 GT
4x1gb DDR2 800 MHz RAM (4 sticks)
500 GB Sata II Seagate 7200.11 HDD
180 GB IDE Seagate HDD
DVD-RW/+RW Optical IDE Drive
5 80mm Case fans
Is the PSU OK?

The 12 volt rail is only responsible for hard drives, video cards, and optical drives, and RAM. With an 8500gt 18 amps is a-okay.

And CPU's.

The RAM is powered by the 3.3 volt output.
