E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz to 3.5-4.0GHz

Hi
I have a Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 Wolfdale 3.0GHz and would like to overclock it to 3.5GHz or 4.0GHz.
If there is already a forum for this can u post the link please.
Also i have the stock fan on it and was wondering if i was going to overclock it I should get a new fan. Which one should i get?

If you want 4.0ghz you'll want an aftermarket cooler.

You can probably get away with 3.6 on stock cooler.

Just another question which aftermarket cooler should i get + will i need thermal compound?

I suggest the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus. You will need thermal compound, although I think a decent paste comes with the Hyper 212 Plus. Also, you will have to remove the thermal paste on the Core 2 Duo, which came from the stock cooler before you apply any new thermal paste. Generally a pea-sized drop is recommended.
