Sata card and intel dp45sg?

Hello,
i just installed a sata 2 cotroller card by silicon image (sil3124-2). i just want to add a sata hd's, not raid. so far no luck installing drivers. any help would be greatly appreciated. this is a homebuilt system.

System:
OS:Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Version 6.1 (Build 7600)

Motherboard: Intel BOXDP45SG
Core 2 Quad Socket 775 FSB 1333MHz Dual DDR3
CPU: Intel Core™ 2 Quad Q9650 3.0 GHz12MB Cache
RAM: Crucial 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
Video Card: Sapphire ATI Radeon HD4870
Hardrives: 4 Seagate Barracuda SATA's 2@300GB ea, 1@1TB, 1@1.5TB
Mobile Rack w/Seagate Barracuda 1.5TB
SATA II Conroller Card: Silicon Image SIL3124-2
PS: Corsair 750HX - 750Watt

I don't know this specific card but often with these plug in card you need to go into the RAID setup utility when booting the system and specify that the disk(s) attached to the card are non RAID, then windows will probably see them.

Have you been into the Hardware manager to see if the DATA card have a yellow question mark against it, if so Windows does not know about the card, if not and it is show as working properly then windows built in drivers have taken care of business for you.
