GTX 260 core SC SLI VS GTX 295

So i was thinking of buying the new EVGA GTX 295 , but i thought to get me another EVGA GTX 260 core SC and run then in SLI mode ?!
Which one is better in , performance , power consumption , etc ...
and will my 800 watt , 62 amp be enough for the SLI ?

actually no. two 260's will not destroy a 295. first hand experience with both Saturday. the 295 even edged my two 260's out on some things. overall they seem to have the same performance feel.

The 295 should be just a bit better than 2x260's, if you're still within your 90 days on your evga gtx260, you could probably trade up to the gtx295 for less than what it would cost to buy another 260.

Anyhow, they're about the same in performance (GTX260 SLI vs. GTX295 single).

The bad news: your PSU is borderline for the dual GTX260 config, but OK for the GTX295.

Oh, if you're not overclocking, your 800W PSU is plenty: I forget that some people are running at "stock".
