First time builder... Motherboard help.

OK... First off I already bought me a Thermaltake Spedo advanced package and 2 BFG GTX 295's.

I am waiting for the core i7 975, and am in the process of deciding what motherboard to buy.

I picked out 3 so far:

1) Asus Rampage II Extreme (although I am having doubts due to quality and a report of a guy burning out his CPU on newegg.)

2) MSI Eclipse

3) Gigabyte x58 Extreme

I am also wondering if these motherboards come with a Dual SLI bridge, or if it comes with the GTX 295.

Can anyone help me out?

I've used all major motherboard brands over the last 15 years of building PCs, even Abit and Intel, lol. I find that Asus has given the most reliability, ease of use, manufacture support interms of frequent BIOS updates, FAQs on product webpages, etc...

The previous poster brought up a good point regarding your monitor size and resolution. With two GPUS in each GTX 295, that's gonna have to be a monster-sized screen to fully put to use the power of four GPUs.

gonna get ready for the 3d vision once a driver for quad SLI is out.

Hehe... been saving up, doing research, was about to build a core 2 extreme last year, but college got in the way. Had to scrap plans and make a new.

lol HundredIslandsBoy, and I thought I was the only one to use Intel mobos. Agree with ASUS, just didn't wanna sound too fanboi-sh (no offense )

Any updates dragonfang? I'm curious, what are the other specs of your build? Hard disk? Memory?

Hard disk is a Western Digital 1Tb caviar blk. Memory is a 1333 6gb corsair. Would have gotten better, but dont know how to over clock. Researching more on Over clocking after finals....
