Realtek audio troubleshooting

I have up dated my realtek drivers and put two different set's of speakers on both my front and back speaker ports yet only on speaker works? Could you give me some idea's of things that could be wrong?

I also wanted to add that my headphones work fine?

do your speakers need an amp? are they rated to run straight from the sound card?

Yes both sets are working fine on a secound computerer?

did you set your soundcard to output to both ports? basically does your computer know that you gave it 4 speakers instead of standard 2?

if not you should set it up in the sound settings, can't give specific instructions cause it depends on the sound driver/software you got.

Sorry about the confusion I am only hooking one set of two speakers at a time i was just trying to say I have tried two different sets of speakers and both sets only have one speaker working at a time. Also yes i have checked the sound card and its set on 2 speakers?

well if the settings are set correctly and the sound card is not at fault, I guess it could be a faulty jack. How many jacks do you have? Are they all configurable? Have you tried different jacks for speakers? what model speakers do you have?
