Hi all,
I recently just purchased the EVGA GTX 260 overclocked version, and hoping to overclock it some more. But I don't know where to start. I've downloaded precision from the EVGA website. What program do I use to test if the settings are stable? What are safe temps for GPUs?

Well I have this card and have it at 650/1400/1008 The memory on mine could not go much further :(  i could do a little better but it already gets my office to 80 deg F if i play for a few hours... fur mark will max it out to see if stability is rock solid but for real just go play a game for a while, a video card is hardly ever maxed out for long periods of time unless you fold or something..

Hi.

U can see here a little guide for OC ur GPU. I use RivaTuner with my GTX 260.

For the temps, EVGA says that 85C or less is safe.

U can use 3D mark 06 to test ONLY the GPU beaus that software test all the rig, select only the GPU test.

aim for gaming load to be under 80C, not furmark as u will NEVER get the gpu that hot while gaming with 100% gpu load. keep the fan on auto. u can easily get ~15% OC with fan on auto and also having it under 75~C
