Hi

I have an asus p5n32-e sli board.
I really like it and it has worked well untill recently when i sarted have issues with the sata ports

It will all work fine and then it will just drop a sata port and after a restart or two it is back and working fine. This seems to happen from time to time.

Is there anyway to fix this ?
any idea what is causing this ?

Thanks in advance

Have you changed in the bios the PCIe frequency from auto/100 to anything else?

Here are the specs of the pc if that will help

Asus p5n32-e sli plus
Intel Core2Quad q6600
4gb Corsair ram kit
1x 80gb Seagate sata2 drive
1x 250gb Seagate sata2 drive
1x 1000gb Seagate sata2 drive
1x Lg 22x dvd-writer sata2
Coolermaster silentpro m700 powersupply
Chaintech 8800gt

I have everything at default in the bios.
I have had the harddrive check and they are all fine.

Thanks for the help so far .

Could it be that the board is faulty ?

I had the same problem With the sane board and it was a bad SATA port. RMA to ASUS and they replace it with P5N-T Deluxe which is a much better board. http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com [...] 5de5db.jpg
