Is this the best 30" monitor out there now for gaming at high resolution? (2560x1600)

And, do you need a vid card capable of doing that resolution to get decent frame rates in FPS style games? (GTX280?)

Is what?

Oh and personally, unless you hav alot of disposable income i would avoid the 30" monitors and go 24" for 19 x 12 res as that is more manageable.

30" means you have to always stay cutting edge with gfx hardware. 1 280 ain't really going to cut it.

Then again i have not used a 30" monitor nor a 280 so take that for what it is worth.

Only 30" LCD monitors will have 2560 x 1600 resolution.

You need two high end cards to play games at native resolution.

Minimum Recommendation:

Two HD 4870

or

Two GTX 280

If you have $1k for GPUs then get two GTX 295.
