Slow Q9550 + P5Q Pro

I have a new Asus P5Q Pro (bios 1613) + Q9550 + PowerColor HD4870 1GB Ram
I am using Vista Premium 64.

When I do somes bench, I am pretty slow compared to others references.

Any other with similar config can try thoses tests ... With those results ... I checked my bios and all seem fine.

My ram is G.Skill F2-6400CL4D-4GBPK (2 x 2mb) installed in yellow slot. That ram can do 4-4-4-12 ... but i don't this 5-5-5-15 will slowdown my computer as much.

I've never heard of that testing program so i wouldn't really trust it

I'd run some common benchmarking programs like 3dmark06 or superpi 1m

then tell us and we'll tell you if its slow or not


I have a q9550 w/ a p5q board and the only Slow thing about it is....

well the boot... post takes like 40 seconds...

With 3dmark06 I got 12828 and with superpi v1.5 1m I got 16 sec.

superpi score is good

You downloaded the trial version right? If so your score seems EXTREMELY low on stock with a q9550 and a 4870 512 I get like 14000 and overclocked i get 18000

Something is up but don't know what.

If you could post the individual scores that would be nice

I tested X264 benchmark

Me / Others
Pass 1 lowest = 91 fps / 154
Pass 2 lowest = 24 fps / 45


With Cinebench, I got 3063 1 cpu and 7933 4 cpu, multiprocessor = 2.59x
OpenGL Benchmark 5209

Others have like 5000 with 1 cpu and 12000 with 4 cpy .. they got like 4x in multiprocessor speed up ...

Very strange. I tried many bios config and nothing really change ...

That really is low, 12800. Im gettin that on my e52003.6 + 2gb ram +4850 512mb

I think I got what going on ...

My cpu now is 60, 54, 63, 63 celsius (almost idle)

In my BIOS I had CPU TM FUNCTION ... I guess when doing benchmark, CPU got overheat and this function slowdown it.

In somes bench, I had different result each time I running it ... each time lower scores ...

With this option off ... my computer shut down when doing the test ... (overheat probably).

I had difficulties to put the heatsink and had to remove many times the fan on the cpu ...

Make sense ?

I got not 3453 rendering 1 cpu, 12580 4 cpu

I reinstalled my headsink ... temperature is not 36-42 idle ... 51-60 full charge.
