My PC is sandwiched between two cabinets. Which blocks off two fans I think. There have been some weird and constant game crashes which might be related to heat for a Core 2 Quad Q9550 are these temps normal? ( I used realtemp ) These are Idle temps just doing nothing and then browsing the internet typing this.

Minimum

53 43 49 49

Maximum

60 51 58 57

These seem a bit high for just idle and browsing. On games like Empire Total war it maxes at 74 66 70 72.

Just need to know if these are normal so I can figure out if these problems are heat or power related.

Idle are somewhat high, though the maximum are within spec (barely). Since that is gaming load, not a true full load, I would say it is running too hot, yes. That shouldn't cause crashes though, as the Quads are fine even up to the 90C range as far as stability is concerned (it just shortens their life). Is it bluescreening, or just freezing?

well if your in a hot house I'd suggest opening up your case.. I do so because I live in south texas with no AC.. try that and move the PC to another location see if that helps.. if not reseat your HSF.
