Just wanted to know whether an athlon x2 5000 bottleneck a 4850?

I game at 1440X900...and mayb in the same price range of the 4850...

yup tat was my idea....but had a slight hitch tat whether the 5000 x2 would cause a bottleneck ...hope it doesnt...

If you worried about it . you may OC your 5000+ to 3.0GHz

It doesn't... try to get PSU above 600W...

over 600w? lol you dont need nothing that high i ran a HD4870 on an Antec earthwatts 430 for almost 6 months with not a single problem as long as you have a decent PSU 500w to be safe :p (if you like to play safe ;))

At load... consumption range reaches ~500W. So it'll be better to have more..

No your CPU is fine. My buddy has a 2x 4800+ with a 4850 and runs awesome.

 


The 4850 recommends a 450W PSU. What do you need 600W for? A "Quality" 450w will be sufficient.

 

The 4850 is the best value right now. If you can afford more pick up the 4870 or 9800GTX+
