If everything will be more or less within one room or very close to each other, the WRT54G will work.

I was looking for a router to buy earlier this month and my top choices were the DGL-4100/4300 or the DIR-655. The DGL 4100 and 4300 are the same type of router, only that that the 4100 is the wired version and is cheaper while the 4300 is wireless and a bit more expensive, but but they both have Gamefuel, a type of QoS that automatically classifies priorities for you. The DIR-655 is basically a buffed up version of the DGL-4300 but doesn't have a "Gaming Router" label stuck on it. All three versions have very positive reviews. Also, if you're looking for a cheaper but also very reliable router, get the WRT-54GL as it is wireless and can be upgraded with 3rd party firmware that allows you to control bandwidth and stuff, like QoS.
