Hello everyone,

I recently bought a USB WiFi adapter. It's 802.11n, based on Realtek RTL8192u. I went for this after my returning my PCI card, which would make Windows 7 x64 completely lock up (the card wasn't defective, as it worked on another computer with XP x86).

Now, I mostly have a pretty good connection, but I've noticed that when my CPU load is high, my connection seems to drop. I first made the link when running IntelBurnTest (which is obviously overkill compared to "normal" usage, but still). Is there a way to make the USB controller higher priority than most programs? I lowered IBT to lowest priority and still couldn't connect to my router.

My build is i7-860 on P7P55D PRO, still at stock.

Thanks for any input
