Storm Sniper and WC temps

I have a storm sniper build with a 240mm watercooling. My regular usage temps reach 40 degrees and under prime 60 degrees. Isn't that too high for a stock i7-920 on watercooling?

My goal is to OC to 3.66ghz for now and keep the temps under 40 for normal usage.

Is there anyway I can modify the airflow or attach an extra fan for push/pull or something to reduce the temps even more?

Room temperature is about 36

My setup and pics:
Storm Sniper
Hydro Xtreme Watercooling 240mm
Intel® Core™ i7-920
GigaByte GA-X58A-UD3R
6GB (2GBx3) DDR3 /1600MHZ Kingston HyperX
Corsair 750 Watt PSU
ATI Radeon HD 5750

Also what do I have to change in bios to reach 3.66?

thank you for the help

  1. I'm pretty much clueless with regards to watercooling, but to reach ~3.66GHz you'll need to to raise your BCLK to approximately 175, however it's best that you read some guides first. Here's a few:

    http://www.google.co.nz/search?client=opera&rls=en&q=core+i7+overclocking+guide&sourceid=opera&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8
  2. Ive no experience W/C'ing myself, But I do like your rig dude, so heres my T'upporth

2 Grommets above the 120mm fan in last picture? I reckon those W/c pipes with thread through there a treat so, in my version of the sniper, youll have the 120mm inside the case, on the other side (out back of the pc) of that you mount another 2x 120's,then the rad and finally the 2x 120's already fitted to the rad, all 5x fans are pushing away from the pc, you could dispense with the internal one altogether if you wished ofc, as 4x fans on a rad is going to look awesome imo on that case :)
Great C/m job on it btw :) best of luck and have fun.
