How to use a flash drive and copy picture from a file

i am want vto know how toget my sand disk flash drive work i plugged it in my usb port and nothing show up go i can copy my pictures to it no command etc

Open My Computer and see if the drive shows up in there. Look at it before you plug the drive in, note what devices are shown, and then open it again after plugging the drive in and see if there are any new ones. It should show up as a usb mass storage device or something like that. It might also show up as a san disk device.
