Overclocking

Hello,
I want to overclock my phenom 9600 quad core to around 2.7-2.8 Ghz. My motherboard is an Asus M3A78 CM. Iwent into bios and the settings were locked. How would I overclock my cpu?

If your BIOS is locked then I'm not sure what software you could use to overclock your Phenom 9600 I'm afraid. However, if you do plan to overclock it I suggest you buy an aftermarket CPU cooler.

Did you build your own comp or was it bought prebuilt from a big company like dell?
