So, I installed a RAID 0 setup on my friend's P6X58D-E motherboard (2 7200 RPM 250gb HDD). I set it up as striped through the BIOS and RAID thingy and it made it one 450GB HDD, then put in Windows 7. During the installation, I went to the custom and the single 450Gb HDD was there, and I didn't have to install any drivers. Is this normal? Does this mean the raid 0 setup was automatically detected and was already compatible?
If the two HDDs are showing as one in RAID 0, you got it. Win7 installs RAID drivers as necessary, unlike XP, which required you to install the correct RAID driver using the F6 key during installation.
