Help, need advice on upgrade.

Hello everyone, I need some advice as I am going to buy some upgrades for my computer soon. Now I should say that these questions might be a little on the stupid side as I don't know a whole lot about compatability of components, I just know how to plug stuff in pretty good. I currently have:

AMD FX-62 dual core 2.8mhz
DFI Lanparty UT nf590 M2RG
4 Gigs of OCZ platinum DDR2-800 PC6400
evga Geforce 8800GTX OC 768mb
BFG tch 650watt psu

Now here is what I want to upgrade:

CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 810 2.6GHz Socket AM3 95W Quad-Core Processor, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103650

Now I have a couple of questions, I dont really have a lot money to play with so i hope I can still use the same Power supply that I have, which is this one here: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817702003 The Phenom processor that I want to upgrade to seems to use less power than my FX-62 if i am correct, will every thing be safe if I use the same Power supply or will i fry something?

And my other question is, the Phenom has what looks like a slower speed which is 2.6mhz than my current FX-62 which is 2.8mhz, will the Phenom be quite faster because it is using 4 cores or will i not really notice a big difference and a waste of money?

Like I said guys they may be stupid questions but I never took any computer classes in my life, I just basically learn from these forums on the internet. Any help would be appreciated.

i have only one piece of advice, overclock -- yes overclock

when intel takes the same chip and sets it to 3ghz from 2.4ghz are they overclocking no? they are binning
same thing

when amd ships a 200mhz slow 4830 vs 4870 - you turn the 4830 to same speed as the 4870

did they underclock? or did they oveclock!

take the multiplier and the cpu and find the sweet spot

Ok, I like the speed of the Deneb but its not AM3 and I read up on it and people said the Am2+ chips don't work with DDR3 ram. I was thinking of getting AM3 incase of making future upgrades easy and the DDR3 memory. Should I go with the AM2+ stuff instead, if I do I think I can still use my old ram, is the DDR3 ram not worth it? Also if I go with the Deneb do I need to upgrade my Power supply because the Deneb uses more power?

well the am3 stuff seems more limited

i will say there is little difference with ddr3 and ddr2 system on intel 775 - i can not say about amd

i can say striker or maximus i used ddr3 and ddr2 and difference is smalll
