Hello im doing my first build with the antec 900 gaming case i bought for cheap from black friday.
My current PSU
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341010
It has been in an old computer for awhile and im just going to put it in the new build.
Antec 900 has a bottom mount power supply
a review on the psu says that he needs an extension cable for CPU power or some such(3rd review down)
Where can i get this extension cable?
also it appears that i may need to put the psu upside down to mount it?

anyone have any experience with these two products?
the final product will be this btw
Evga 750I FTW Mobo
4GB DDR2 OCZ 800 ram
2 XFX 8800gt SLI
Q6600 2.4 Quad
OCZ 600W 80 plus power supply with 4 12v rails each at 18A
WDC 500GB sata harddrive-OEM
LG 22X DVD±R DVD Burner with LightScribe Black SATA Model
2 extra 120mm tricool antec fans.
havent decided on a CPU cooler yet(if any)
Windows Vista 32 or 64 bit havent decided on that either
Im thinking of drilling two holes for cable management much like the pictures here
http://www.flickr.com/photos/18177281@N05/sets/72157602923968856/
so i might need more extension cables(2 PCI 6 pins and maybe a sata)

(please comment on the build itself aswell.)

hm I coulda used a couple of holes like that in my 900 build. ;) Were you not able to find those extensions on new egg? Yes it would be an upside down mount. I used an Antec 650 blue for my build and it reaches just fine. also semi modular so I didn't need all the cables.
OCZ does make fine power supplies so it may be worth the extra hassle to find those cable extenders. If the reviewer says they needed it, then you probably do; most psu manufacturers do not make the longer cables needed for bottom mounts.
If you can't get them from newegg, (I'm almost sure you can) then check with OCZ.

definitely go with Vista64 SP1 for your OS

ima make an educated guess and assume the HDD ur getting is the AAKS WDC 500gb for 59.99$ on newegg. if i were you i would spend another 15$ to get the 640gb version instead.

WDC 640gb AAKS

about the case and the holes, if you're getting a 900 now, it should be the revised version already. the newer version has opening plastic holes for water cooling on the rear of the case, and on the mobo tray itself, there are 2 holes already drilled for wiring management. i use those myself but i haven't done a great job yet (planning to re-wire again soon).

here's my pixes (don't laugh :p) it's just to show you where they go. you can drill additional holes to make wiring more easier.

I really havent done any super extensive searches on new egg for extension cables i just dont have the "keywords" to find them quickly.

so you should be able to do something like that given a few hours or your time, and a good probability a nicer job than i've done. haha but that's all i can do given what i have. :)
