Your best bet would be to install either the HD4650 (used 33 watts at load) or the HD4670 (uses 47 watts at load) while the HD4670 might be pushing your power supply it's probably the one i'd pick if it were my system. As with all prebuilt systems when upgrading your graphics download a hardware monitor and check temps with stock system and then keep an eye on them after you upgrade. Both GPUs only require the power provided by the PCIex16 socket. For a HD4670 this is a decent one.
aso how about nvidia i am not to much of a fan of ati
In the mid range cards, ATI is the way to go right now. Why aren't you a fan of ATI? I don't swing either way, I just questions you reasoning. ATI cards have alot more options in the mid range area to.
What do you want a video card for? If you just want a dedicated card and not for games you could get a 4550 from ATI or 9500Gt from nvidia.
with a 250W power supply I would be cautions. Some of those PC you can purchase aftermarket upgrade from a 3rd party. Maybe look into that if you want something for games.

PETER2004: If you want to game with this system the HD4650 is the minimum you should be looking at. At full load it`ll draw just under 3A (Watts=Volts X Amps so 3A X 12V= 36Watts) while the HD4670 draws 4A, leaving your PSU with 10 to spare.
Systems like yours are thr REASON for cards like the 4650/4670.
