Hello Everybody!

I figure I'd submit my list of parts that I want to eventually build for a pretty nice gaming setup. My goal is to run Crysis on a 1680 x 1050 Monitor; I realize this should be accomplished fairly easily, however I want to somewhat future proof myself for future games.

Keep in mind that I'll probably be waiting for Windows 7/DirectX 11; considering it should be out within the year, but this is just for reference on where I'm at currently on the research pole.

Please leave your comments and suggestions, especially on my power supply wattage (as I'm not sure the one I've suggested will power all of my potential components).

Antec Twelve Hundred
Asus P6T Deluxe LGA1366 X58 Motherboard
Intel Core i7 920 CPU
OCZ Gold 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
ATI Radeon HD 4870 1GB GPU
Corsair 750W PSU
(2) Western Digital Caviar 160GB HDD (setup in RAID0)
Lite-On 20x DVD Burner
Windows Vista 64-Bit OS

Anything you want to add, subtract, multiply let me know. Remeber though that I'm married and my budget that I've submitted to my wife is about $1500, and all of these parts are currently at that level off of Newegg.com.

Thanks for your time.

When selecting RAM, look for the combination of low voltage and low latency, with high frequency. I haven't seen any RAM i7 benchmarks yet, but we should have some next month.

Although the 750TX is enough power for crossfire 4870s, I'm personally more comfortable with the new 850TX for that build, unless cash is tight.

Look for coolers at the time you buy.
