Hi, new to the forums
having some ram troubles
i know i shouldnt mix and match ram but under a tight budget here
i set my bios to auto manage the voltage and timing for the ram
i should have 6gigs all together but vista only displays 4gigs
i thought bios would underclock my newer ram to match my older one
so i was wondering if its a good idea to overclock my old ram
here is the specs on the ram
this is my old ram with the 5-5-5-12, 1.8v 800mhz
http://www.directron.com/991529.html
and the newer one is
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820145034
personally i dont think the overclock wouldnt be that major
but still sorta new to it
or do you think i should manually set the ram to 5-5-5-12 1.8v
i do have a asus p5n-t deluxe and i hear the auto tuning on it is horrable...................well accually i hear the whole board is horrable.........................and i very much agree stay away from that board lmfao
