Hey,

I am about to buy some new memory: Corsair Dominator 8GB kit DDR3-1600MHz, and I want to overclock my processor so it will be able to run at 1600 Mhz. I will need to buy a new motherboard, becouse my current motherboard only supports DDR2.
My processor is: AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE (3,4Ghz)

So, my question is:
Will my RAM and CPU be a good combination?
What motherboard should I buy?
I am thinking about a budget of €80-100 ($100-125)
The motherboard I have in mind is this one:
ASUS M4A785TD-V EVO

Thanks

Corsair Dominator is a great product! I have 6 sticks of 2GB each and they work great. My i-7 920 CPU is overclocked to 3.55 MHz.

I would suggest that you contact Corsair and ask them your question directly. Here is the link for Corsair: http://www.corsair.com/contact/default.aspx

After concurrence from Corsair, verify the result with ASUS

TRUST, BUT VERIFY!

It is a good idea to check the physical clearances between the CPU cooler and the tops of the Corsair Dominator RAM that have cooling fins attached on top.
