I recently installed this cpu on the specs in my sig and i didnt flash the bios, whenever i try to access my computer in windows it runs slow but in games its fine is this because i need a bios flash or because i need to reinstall windows?

Neither... you don't need to flash the BIOS to install a new CPU. Just clear the CMOS and you should be fine.

What bios do you have. You might have to flash it. I had to and i have the same board you do mine is rev 1. Do you have revision 1 or rev. 2 of that MB? Rev. 2 requires bios FB to run pII 940 shown here http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support [...] uctID=2931
or for rev. 1 needs bios F6. shown here http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Support [...] uctID=2800
