Hi all, being a novice I thought it better to ask first rather than wreck anything so here goes.
I have an old tower unit, no monitor, mouse or keyboard. Is there any way I can run the tower from my laptop??

You mean control your old tower via your laptop?

Depends on how you want to control it. there are various ways via software you can do it. Remote Desktop etc.

A better way might be a KVM. Buy the appropriate cable and connect to the the KVm switch and I believe you can use the laptop to switch between the two.

That would require having an external monitor, separate from the laptop screen, just an FYI.

In your case using remote desktop or VNC would work just fine.

Thanks for the replies so far,
So, to clarify... I would need to set up the remote desktop via my lap top?? As no monitor is available for the tower.
