Hi,

I'm running a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200+, 2GB machine with a Radeon 2600 XT GPU. My motherboard is an AsusTek M2V, K8T900. I've just bought a new 22" LG monitor and am looking to purchase a decent graphics card, the ATI Radeon 4850 which many believe is the best card for the around £120 mark. Will this graphics card work with my current setup, and as a second point what would be the maximum processor I could install with this motherboard and is it worth the shift from Athlon 4200 to whatever the maximum possible processor would be??

Many thanks in advance!

I would say a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5400 Brisbane 2.8GHz would fix good with the 4850. i looked up your cpu support list and i dont think your motherboard supports the 5400+ Black edition Also Make sure you the lastest bios verison 2101 on your motherboard.
