Graphic flicker on campaign map in Medieval 2: Total War

Hey! When I play Medieval 2: Total War the graphic flickers on the campaign map, but it's just the shadows of the settlements and the buildings and such that flicker, not the caracters and soldiers. And I don't have any graphic problems on the battle map.
I have the ATI HD 4870X2 graphic card, a quad core 2.4 GHz and 4 GB ram.
Does anyone know how I can fix this?? I appreciate any help! Thanks!

Please list full specs (esp. PSU) Also do you have VSINC on?

yes, I have Vsync on. I have maxed out all graphic stats.
