Greetings

I just purchased a BFG 260 Maxcore video card and am wondering if there is a bottleneck with the E6600 dual core processor that I am running.

I boosted the FSB up to 1333 to day to raise from 2.4ghz to 3.

Any opinions or advice appreciated.

3 Ghz should be fine. Anything below that is a pretty big bottleneck.

I remember when i went from 2 hz to 2.6 with my 8800 Gs, my frame rate nearly doubled.

I think 3 - 3.4 ghz should be fine for that card though. Especially if your rexolution is above 1680 x 1050.

The GTX260 is pretty good to begin with so overclock the shaders and memory but no the core. Also be sure your cooling is adequate.

Thanks for the replies. At this point, I don't plan to oc the 260 as it may void warranty or step up policy with BFG which I am considering taking advantage of.

overclocking your CPU will always give you gains. EVERY game i play regardless of 3.1 to 4.5 i always see gains with my 4850.
