I plan to build a new PC using a Gigabyte GAP-EP45-UD3R.

The specs say that it has 1 CD in port. I plan to use 2, or possibly even 3 optical drives.

So what do I do? Do they have 3 in 1 hubs, or what?

Why do you need so many CD ports? I haven't used one in the last 10 years and none of my drives ever came with the required cable.

When you install ANY optical Drive, don't you have to hook up both the SATA and CD In ports?

I never hook up the CD In port and I have no problems. The cable is required only if you have a requirement to bypass the system to play CDs directly through the sound card. You also need a CD unit with the volume control on it, a play button, etc. Those haven't been available for a long time.
