Case fan connections

I'm building my first system and i am using the Thermaltake m9 case. I discovered it comes with 2 case fans which only have connections to plug into the psu. Do you think it would be worth it to replace these with fans that connect to the system fan headers? Is there an adapter available that would just let me convert the plug and if there is, could i still monitor the case fan speed?

You can get an adapter to plug them into the MB fan headers but if they are not 3 wire then you want be able to control them that way. Most fans that plug directly into the power supply only have two wires (red & black). Or you can purchase a fan controller like this one.
